About Me

Hello my name is Zac. I am from London but now live in Dartford via Singapore. I am also qualified as an Instructor for Metabolic Circuits, Gym Boxing, Studio Cycling. I am a qualified Precision Nutrition level 1 Coach to better service my clients nutrition needs. I currently work at the Gym Group in Dartford.

I enjoy training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and CrossFit in my spare time. Also currently doing marathon training. I really enjoy travelling and seeing different parts of the world.

Now I have become a Personal Trainer I have added the tools with my Level 3 qualification to be able to help me understand how to help others reach their goal. I will conduct online personal training sessions around my clients goals from weight loss to weight gain, building up runners just starting out to gaining confidence and being able to run further distances. I will offer online training plans for people who just need advice and a set plan to hit their goals.

We are all unique, which is why training programmes should also be unique. I will take into account clients motivation, time they are able to train, working lifestyle, ability and fitness level. I offer a full range of private 1-2-1’s or online packages (please see the service tab for more information).

My Story

I am over 40 and understand how much harder it can be to get fit. As you can see from the photos below my weight has been up and down over the years. I have arthritis and understand what it can do to your body and how it effects your training. I myself have been 16 stone and tried many different diets, so can understand how hard it can be. There is no one fits all diets. I enjoy fitness and want to help people reach they’re fitness goals.

I am former member of the British Army and served in the Infantry over two different periods. During my time in the Army we used many different types of fitness. When we was away on operational tours around the world we would still need to keep our fitness up. We would train in very hot weather to minus conditions. In Aug 2002 I had major knee operation when in the Army so fully understand knee pain. I completed and qualified as a Mountain Leader in March 2009.

I have worked in many different counties across different continents Europe, Asia and Africa. I done many jobs in the security industry, from working as a bodyguard to the rich and famous clients to standing on a door for 12 hours and working on government funded projects. I was Team Leader working on ship protection the crew and cargo from being hijacked. When I was working on the ship we did not have access to a gym and could be onbroad for up to a month. I would use body weight exrceices and equpment we could carry in our bags things like a TRX or resistance bands. I understand training with limited equipment and space.

For 12 years I worked with teenagers as part of a Youth organisation. Teaching many different skills from fitness, weapon training, living in the wild, working as part of a team and completing tasks as an individual.

I like to push my own fitness and have taken part in running events from 5km to 21km. Due to all running events being called off in 2020, I set myself a goal to build up to 21km before the end of 2020. As I was not going to be running with other people or having someone to chase it was going to be hard to keep going and to stay motivated. On Christmas Eve 2020 I hit my goal in 2hrs 50mins (I have uploaded videos to my YouTube Channel link in the footer).

I attend and completed the Dartford half marathon in September 2024 (see photo above).

I understand as you get older you need to train smart as our body go through different things in life. When living in Singapore the heat and humidity can be a big problem. You find for long runs you have to start early in the morning before sunrise.

I have now moved back to the UK and set up in Dartford. I am now offering PT 1-2-1’s in person and online which I could not do in Singapore due to employment law and visas after the system change due to Covid.

Covid, change the whole the fitness industry and the way it was delivered. That’s like anything in life, I had to adapt the service I offered.

I have been working as part of the team at The Gym Group Dartford since Oct 2024. As part of my role, I take classes and kick start sessions. When I am not on shift I am available for PT sessions be it 1-2-1 or even 1:2 if you want to train with a friend or partner.
